Backpacker Stats

Since travel is our niche, we want to start sharing and discussing some miscellaneous travel stuff, not just focused on Southeast Asia. So from time to time, you will see posts pertaining to travel in general. To start this change, I found a great infographic dedicated to the adventurous, wanderlusting backpackers that see travel in a completely different light than your average tourist. Backpackers were and are born to travel. It’s in their blood, their soul, and their mind.

Backpackers are young and frugal, but all have the courage and curiosity that many wish they could develop. They travel for days, weeks, months, possibly more than year. In some countries, taking a “gap year” to travel is cultural.

The following infographic highlights some interesting statistics, such as how old are the backpackers and why are they traveling. If you’re a backpacker, please let us know what motivates you to travel (in the comments below).
